Finally some updates. Here are some pictures from our fun-filled summer adventures.
I took Tessa to the Disney Store near Times Square (named for the good times you have while you're in it) to have her picture taken with some of the princesses. Here she is with Snow White. Everyone stopped to tell us how beautiful she was. It may be because they don't see many babies in the city, but it's more likely because she really is the cutest baby girl ever!
Kirt on the Brooklyn Bridge. Everyone should go to New York City with Kirt. It's so fun to watch him as he takes in the city. He's just like a kid at the top of the Empire State Building looking out on the sky line.
Kirt and Tessa in a park in NYC. Kirt took me on an awesome trip to New York for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Tessa got to come along, but the boys stayed home with Grandma Leslie. (Thanks again Mom!)
Owen is pretty good at feeding himself, but you never know what will happen when he's left alone with some chocolate pudding.
I guess I forgot to add this one earlier in the summer when Cal had his cast on. We had to wrap the cast in plastic wrap when he took a bath. Never to be left-out, Owen had to have his arm wrapped up as well. (Owen's aunts and uncles call this smile his "bitter beer face".)
Cal, Uncle Bart, Owen and Kirt in The Secret Garden at the Mirage in Las Vegas. It was so nice of Bart and Andria to let us stay for the weekend. (And even nicer for them and Grandma Peterson to watch the kids so Kirt and I could go out for my birthday.)
Tessa and her cousin Bailee. When Bailee found out we were having a baby girl she said it was a "dream come true". They are the only 2 granddaughters so far on the Peterson side.
Cal, Owen and their Cousin Isaac on the helicopter ride at Lagoon. Cal and Isaac are such great friends.
One of my favorite things in the whole world: The face of a sleeping child. My Grandma Ozmun says that when they sleep with their arms up like this that they are content and happy. I always think of her when my kids sleep like this.
Here's Owen and Aunt Libby on the Merry-Go-Round at Lagoon. It was Owen's favorite ride! (He did not enjoy Puff the Magic Dragon, but that didn't stop us from taking him on it 3 times.)

Tessa's first trip to the beach. She slept through this milestone, but the rest of us enjoyed it.
Cal ponders the mysteries of life as he looks over the ocean.
Owen took a spill in the ocean. Even with sand in his face, he's one happy kid!

I almost got them to all look at the camera at the same time! The boys were enjoying the summer weather in their swim trunks.

I was trying to get a picture of all the kids together. I guess I should have known better! Here are some of the pictures. They obviously didn't turn out perfect, but they're still pretty fun.
Here's Owen. He found Cal's bike helmet and the baseball glove that was meant for his Build-a-Bear. How cute is that grin?

Our little princess does have a name. We decided on Tessa Jane. She has been a great baby. We are enjoying the sweet feeling of having a new baby around. What a great addition!
The boys enjoying popsicles on the back patio. It's so great to send them outside to make a mess of themselves! Owen is looking much better these days. He resembled Massive Head Wound Harry from SNL for a few weeks - thanks to a nasty spill on that same back patio.
Cal just had another surgery on his hand. We're hoping this is the last one, but he's been a good sport about it all. Just 4 weeks in this wrapped cast and then he can finally swim again! He didn't even want to take a bath with the cast on. He tried to negotiate a "really long bath" at the end of 4 weeks! Yikes!
