Have you seen these kids?

Here's a few pictures of late. The main reason we started this blog was to share pics of the kids with family that didn't live near us. Some of you closer to us may not appreciate this post as much, but what can I say? We have adorable kids! (Lauren may argue that they are camera hogs - just like their Mom!)

Here's the handsome 8 year old. He is such a crack up. He got to meet David Archuleta a few weeks ago in all of our American Idol adventures. What did Cal have to say? "Hey David! We're Mormon too!"

He looks so cute all dressed up, but he's definitely at home in his baseball uniform. Check out the action photo. (tongue sticking out and everything!)

Tessa J's first Easter dress! She's such a joy with lots of grins and giggles every day. This last week she's started dancing and clapping a lot. She's got rhythm!

And this little girl LOVES her daddy. If he is in the room, she wants to be in his arms. (Although Grandpa was her favorite last weekend.)

Oh, little O. He always wants to help and be a part of everything.
He's decided that these are his sunglasses. Rhinestones and all!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Here are our Saturdays for the next few months. Cal's co-pitch season has begun. Today was "Opening Day" complete with a parade led by the fire department. The kids love riding in the back of the trucks (something that we're used to in Utah, but NEVER happens in LA!). At the end of the parade the kids all got to meet a retired Dodger player. What a thrill! Not that it's the most important thing, but Cal's team (the Cubs) won today. Cal got 2 singles, a triple and made some awesome plays out on the field. I love this part of being a mom!

This was Owen's exciting activity today. He LOVES the dog next door. He's always yelling at Tyler out the window. Today they came and asked if Owen wanted to help wash the dog. He was thrilled. I think he really likes that he can tell the dog what to do and he obeys. The neighbor calls Owen and Tyler "the two blond boys".

Preface: we know we're crazy. We sent Tess to Utah this weekend to spend time with her grandmas and the rest of our families. We had some friends going up already and since Tess flies for free, they offered to take her with them. We were explaining where she was to some people at Cal's game today and they said, "Those must be some friends that you trust your baby with them." To this we replied, "Indeed, they are some friends." They may as well be family. Thanks Nielsen's!
And Tess? She's having a blast being spoiled by her Utah family. I'm just grateful that she's gotten a break from O's rough-housing for a few days.

Don't Ask. Don't Tell.

Jason Castro has got some beautiful eyes, but I think Cal gives him a run for his money! (Can you see Taylor Swift in the background?)
We didn't go to the actual show last night, but at the last minute, we decided to go see if we could steal a minute or two with her after the show. How we got in shall remain a secret. We had so little time that we couldn't even wait for Owen to turn around for the picture. Wasn't Brooke's dress phenomenal?
Here is the back of Cal's head and the top of David Archuleta's. That was the only picture/autograph that Cal cared about. He yelled at David for about 5 minutes, but he kept being pulled in different directions. Finally, Cal gave up and walked away. Just then, David turned around looking for Cal. Too bad!

Random Photos

I thought girls weren't supposed to be trouble-makers? I guess we're in for it with this one too! This is her favorite activity - pulling wipes out of the box.
Owen saw the camera and had to be included. Can you tell that he just woke up? O's talking is really taking off lately and he repeats everything he hears - especially if he hears it from Cal. Yesterday he was full of it. As I hung up the phone he asked,"Mom, what you talk 'bout?" He heard a strange noise outside and said,"What da heck?" And finally, when Cal came home from school, Owen ran up to him and yelled,"Cal! Nice shirt!" He sure keeps us laughing.

Kirt has been sporting a beard for the past 2 weeks. We failed to get a picture of the whole thing. He slowly let go with a goatee yesterday. I think he was contemplating keeping the 'stache today, but luckily the razor kept going. By the time he left for work, he was clean shaven.
