I had to re-post this picture. It was such a special day and we are so proud of Cal that I felt like it deserved to be on top for a while longer. I just can't get over how handsome he looked in his suit.Wednesday, October 17, 2007
Owen's first set of stitches.
And so it's happened. Owen took a nasty spill in the shower yesterday and split his poor little lip - inside and out. Last night we met the plastic surgeon at an urgent care clinic and Owen got his first (do I dare hope "only") set of stitches. He got 10 stitches in all. They sedated him, so he slept through it all and seems to be recovering well. He already dove off of the couch this morning to avoid getting dressed. He is unstoppable!
What? I haven't put up an updated picture of Tessa lately? Ok - here you go. She is such a happy baby - although she's still getting used to not being held constantly. With so many grandma's, a grandpa, aunts and uncles around last week, she is sure that life is experienced in the arms of someone who loves her!Tuesday, October 16, 2007
Here is the handsome boy in his new suit. You can't see it in this picture, but he got a new baseball tie tack with "CTR" on it. His cousin Isaac sent it for his baptism. I guess he wasn't too familiar with what a tie tack is. He opened it up and said, "Cool! A CTR earring!" In my family we were allowed to get our ears pierced when we were 8 - but I wasn't planning to do that for Cal.
Owen is not one to be left out. When Kirt and Cal went down into the baptismal font, Owen started yelling "water! water!" When Kirt pulled Cal out of the water, Owen tried taking his clothes off so he could get in too. My sister Abby had a little object lesson where she had Cal walk across a board and Owen was sure he had to try it too. We keep warning Cal to watch himself and be a good example because Owen will do anything if he see's Cal do it first.Monday, September 10, 2007
I took Tessa to the Disney Store near Times Square (named for the good times you have while you're in it) to have her picture taken with some of the princesses. Here she is with Snow White. Everyone stopped to tell us how beautiful she was. It may be because they don't see many babies in the city, but it's more likely because she really is the cutest baby girl ever!
